The Washington Examiner's Tim Carney told Lisa Kennedy Montgomery on Fox Business's Kennedy on Wednesday that the Supreme Court has rightfully returned the issue of abortion to the "democratic realm."

"This choice has at last returned abortion — the defense of harmless human life, the security of toddlers — it’s returned that to the democratic realm," he defined.

"It permits the commencing of settling the problem culturally," he additional.

When asked what the smartest thing is for Republicans to do in the wake of the landmark decision, Carney asserted that "it really is incumbent on Republican lawmakers, primarily on the state degree, to go in advance and pass legislation to secure the unborn infants."

"So I believe you will see purple states, Republicans shift forward boldly for the reason that they know that the compromise place is 'Let's ban abortion at minimum in the next trimester,' and then in the crimson states, they’ll be far more intense in preserving the unborn," he predicted.
