A Florida university board has voted down recognizing Oct as LGBTQ Record Thirty day period.

In an 8-1 vote, the Miami-Dade School Board resolved versus the measure that would have included training 12th graders about two Supreme Court docket conditions that recognize exact same-sex relationship and offer protections for LGBT employees.

Board member Lucia Baez-Geller, who introduced the measure before the board Wednesday and was the lone vote in favor of it, referred to as the vote effects “shocking and sad.”
