Ravens TE Charlie Kolar finalizes rookie contract, leaving team with just 4 draft picks unsigned

Ravens rookie tight stop Charlie Kolar finalized his rookie deal Thursday, leaving the team with just 4 unsigned players from its 2022 draft class.

Kolar, a fourth-rounder from Iowa State, is the fourth Ravens draft select to signal this 7 days and the seventh overall. Exterior linebacker David Ojabo (next round), offensive tackle Daniel Faalele (3rd), cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis (fourth) and punter Jordan Stout (fourth) are all predicted to get their deals performed in the coming months.

Kolar’s 4-calendar year deal is envisioned to be worthy of about $4.4 million in general. Armour-Davis, taken nine places previously, and Stout, taken two places later on, will obtain identical compensation.

The 6-foot-6, 250-pound Kolar had 62 catches for 756 yards and 6 touchdowns previous season and was a finalist for the John Mackey Award, presented to the nation’s prime tight finish. He was also named the Major 12 Conference’s Scholar-Athlete of the Yr immediately after graduating with a 3.99 GPA when earning a degree in mechanical engineering.

“He is a significant concentrate on,” Ravens coach John Harbaugh claimed after the draft. “He’s a getting limited close who’s … ready to block. He’ll go throw it up in there he’s not afraid. … Bottom line, he’s a massive receiver. He’s acquired wonderful catch radius, good overall body management. He’s superior in excess of the center. He can capture it in each type of route, would make massive plays. A pretty sensible, tricky dude. He’s a massive receiver for us in the center of the area.”
