Russia unveils rebrand of previous McDonald's franchises as 'Tasty and that is it'

Russia has unveiled its rebrand of the former McDonald's restaurant franchise, and we are not loving it.

The previous McDonald's restaurants' new owner, Alexander Nikolaevich Govor, announced on Sunday that he will reopen the quickly food stuff chain as Vkusno & Tochka, which translates to "Delicious and that's it." The restaurant chain will also undertake a new brand influenced by the chain's principal foodstuff products and solutions: two potato fries hanging more than a hamburger bun.

"If you recall, in Might, McDonald's declared they have been eradicating their enterprises from Russia. I am quite happy that they selected me to carry on establishing this enterprise. At minimum 200 of the 850 branches still left by the company upon its departure will be reopened by the end of June, according to a press launch. And that will not be the end, according to the operator. "I will not conceal the truth that I am an ambitious gentleman, and so I am not just heading to simply open up all 850 dining establishments, but I am heading to create new kinds as nicely," Govor claimed.

The rebranding announcement coincided with Russia Working day, a getaway marking the country's independence, in accordance to CNN. The reopening also took place in Moscow's Pushkinskaya Sq., the place the 1st Russian McDonald's was opened on Jan. 31, 1990.

McDonald's briefly closed its 850 Russian branches on March 8 thanks to the invasion of Ukraine. That closure led to the enterprise getting rid of thousands and thousands and sooner or later the determination to sell the branches to Govor.
