President Joe Biden defended his conclusion to travel to the Center East up coming week, touting that it is essential to U.S. protection.

While acknowledging that his sights on "human rights are crystal clear" and will be on his mind as he travels abroad, Biden wrote an op-ed in the Washington Submit, revealed Saturday, that stated the Center East added benefits the United States, as it is "vital to international trade and the provide chains.

"As president, it is my work to maintain our nation robust and secure. We have to counter Russia’s aggression, set ourselves in the most effective possible situation to outcompete China, and perform for increased security in a consequential region of the planet," Biden wrote.

Biden argued the U.S. has to "interact right" with nations such as Saudi Arabia, as he aims to fortify a partnership with the state "based on mutual passions and duties, while also holding true to essential American values."

Biden conceded that he is aware some disagree with his excursion to the region, but he stressed that "fundamental freedoms are usually on the agenda."

"Throughout my journey, I’ll have in brain the millions of People who served in the location, which include my son Beau, and the 7,054 who died in conflicts in the Center East and Afghanistan because Sept. 11, 2001," he wrote.

Biden said he will be the initial president to go to the Middle East given that 9/11 devoid of obtaining U.S. troops engaged in conflict there. He is predicted to make stops in Israel, the West Financial institution, and Saudi Arabia although in the region.
