A cargo airplane crashed around Kavala on Saturday evening in northern Greece. This stories the Athens News information agency and is confirmed by the Greek fireplace brigade. Witnesses saw the plane burn up and read explosions, the company explained. The Serbian authorities report that eight people had been claimed to have been on board, all of them are explained to have died.
The Antonov aircraft had taken off from the Serbian metropolis of Nis, and was destined for the Jordanian money Amman. The pilot would have asked for permission to make an unexpected emergency landing in Kavala, but just didn’t make it. The plane eventually crashed in close proximity to the village of Paleochori in an uninhabited region, about 40 kilometers from the airport. There were being eight people on board. None of them survived the accident.
In accordance to different media, it would be a Ukrainian aircraft that had weapons for Ukraine on board. That information has not nonetheless been officially confirmed by the authorities, but a firefighter on the location did notify ERT that the plane experienced ammunition on board.
Exclusive teams
