Creator of Friends apologizes all over again: Regrets misgendering transgender character

The co-creator of the well known sitcom Close friends has apologized once more, this time for misgendering Chandler Bing’s transgender mother.

Marta Kauffman admitted she did not realize pronouns at the time of building the display.

"We kept referring to [Helena] as 'Chandler's father,' even even though Chandler's father was trans," Kauffman explained, in accordance to HuffPost Uk. "Pronouns have been not however something that I recognized, so we did not refer to that character as 'she.' That was a error."

Kauffman reported she is now additional conscious of social concerns bordering race and gender.
