Emotional Sacha Kljestan asks Congress to 'do something' soon after Illinois mass capturing [ad_1]

Galaxy midfielder Sacha Kljestan had long been amid the most considerate and outspoken players in MLS, often utilizing social media to comment on problems that go beyond soccer.

And then we speak about it on social media and it does nothing at all. And then our federal government does practically nothing. And then any individual gets shot up yet again.

“So it is sick. It pissed me off, and I’m like, I cannot even think about something else ... I never even know what to say. I’m not a politician, but I’m a human becoming. My children ... I anxiety for them when they go to college and it pisses me off. And I think if it does not piss you off and you really don't want new gun legal guidelines in this place, then there is one thing completely wrong with [you]. So I guess which is all I have to say.”

In 2019, days following mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio, the Philadelphia Union’s Alejandro Bedoya, a former teammate of Kljestan’s with the U.S. national staff, grabbed an open microphone on the subject following scoring in a nationally televised recreation and produced a forceful plea of his individual for gun regulate,

“Congress, do one thing now. Finish gun violence!” Bedoya shouted into the microphone at Audi Area in Washington D.C. “Let’s go!”

Bedoya was voted the league’s participant of the 7 days a couple of days later on.
