Jan. 6 committee member suggests witnesses do not 'corroborate other witnesses'

A member of the Jan. 6 committee indicated former White Household counsel Pat Cipollone was not specifically requested to corroborate or respond to Cassidy Hutchinson's testimony that he had suggested previous President Donald Trump towards going to the Capitol on Jan. 6.

Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) explained on Sunday that Capitol riot investigators do not connect with witnesses to "corroborate other witnesses," but pressured that Cipollone furnished a testimony that "does not dispute" what Hutchinson instructed the committee.

"We by no means contact in witnesses to corroborate other witnesses or to give their response to other witnesses," Lofgren stated through an job interview with CNN's Jake Tapper.
