Enjoy: Teen loses section of correct leg just after fighting off shark with bare fingers

A Florida teen had her right leg amputated just above the knee Tuesday after she was attacked by a shark very last 7 days.

Addison Bethea, 17, was bit by the predator though searching for scallops off Keaton Seaside, she explained, in accordance to a report.

The teen screamed right up until her brother, Rhett Willingham, a firefighter and EMT, arrived to her assist.

"I read her make a sounds, almost like anything frightened her," he explained. "I sat up and appeared and didn't see her. Then, she arrived up from the water, and I saw the shark and the blood and all that. Then, I swam in excess of there and got [the shark] off."

Willingham pulled the teen into a nearby boat and utilized a tourniquet to stymie the blood reduction, he mentioned.
