Police in Chicago suburb react to July 4 parade amid experiences of shooting

CHICAGO (VFAB) — Police are responding to a capturing at a July Fourth parade in a Chicago suburb, authorities said Monday.

Authorities have not officially described any casualties, but witnesses explained seeing bloodied bodies apparently lined with blankets.

The Chicago Solar-Instances noted that the parade commenced about 10 a.m. but was out of the blue halted 10 minutes later on right after pictures were fired. Numerous witnesses explained to the newspaper that they listened to gunfire.

Hundreds of parade-goers — some visibly bloodied — fled the parade route, leaving driving chairs, baby strollers and blankets.

A Sunlight-Occasions reporter noticed blankets put in excess of three bloodied bodies.

Debbie Glickman, a Highland Park resident, reported she was on a parade float with coworkers and the group was prepared to flip onto the key route when she observed individuals operating away from the space.

“People began indicating ‘There’s a shooter, there’s a shooter, there a shooter,’” Glickman told the Connected Push. “So we just ran. We just ran. It is like mass chaos down there.”

She did not hear any noises or see everyone who appeared to be hurt.

“I’m so freaked out,” she explained. “It’s just so unhappy.”

The Lake County Sheriff’s Business office said on Twitter that it is aiding Highland Park Police “with a taking pictures in the region of the Independence Day parade route.”

The sheriff’s office environment directed an VFAB reporter to speak to Highland Park Police. The Law enforcement Office reported no just one was quickly offered to explore the incident.
