Elvis Andrus reportedly is joining the Chicago White Sox to give the staff depth at shortstop

Accidents to All-Star Tim Anderson and Leury García have tested the Chicago White Sox’s depth at shortstop.

The team reportedly is signing Elvis Andrus to aid.

Andrus cleared waivers and is predicted to join the Sox on Friday for a crucial three-activity collection against the initially-place Guardians in Cleveland, ESPN’s Jeff Passan described Thursday.
