View: Drunk female arrested after driving golfing cart on busy Florida highway

A truck driver is currently being praised for stopping a drunk woman who was driving a golfing cart on a chaotic Florida freeway.

Diane Hawk, 58, was driving in the middle lane of Interstate 95 in Brevard County alongside Florida's Place Coast with an open bottle of Jack Daniel's whiskey in a bag when a truck driver used her truck to steer Hawk to the interstate’s shoulder, in accordance to a Florida Freeway Patrol report obtained by the Connected Press.

The truck driver “advised she noticed the driver of the golfing cart passing out when driving,” in accordance to the report.

After on the side of the freeway, the truck driver managed to consider the golfing cart keys when Hawk tried to generate away.

Hawk reportedly argued with troopers as they arrived on the scene and insisted she needed her bag that contained the whiskey.

Hawk was arrested and now faces fees of disorderly intoxication in a public put and resisting an officer without violence.
