The Countrywide Zoo is celebrating panda cub Xiao Qi Ji’s 2nd birthday Sunday with a exclusive fruitsicle cake.

Xiao Qi Ji was born Aug. 21, 2020, to mother Mei Xiang at the Countrywide Zoo in Washington, D.C.

The panda cub at present weighs 117 lbs ..

Mother Mei Xiang also celebrated her 24th birthday previous month. With Xiao Qi Ji's start, Mei Xiang grew to become the oldest large panda in the nation to give birth and the 2nd oldest in the entire world to give birth.

The pandas’ birthday celebrations occur as the zoo celebrates 50 years of breeding, conservation, treatment, and review of huge pandas.

Chinese Leading Zhou Enlai gifted the 1st pair of big pandas, Ling-Ling and Hsing-Hsing, to the Nationwide Zoo 50 percent of a century in the past.

As section of an agreement with the China Wildlife Conservation Affiliation, any offspring of Mei Xiang and Tian Tian, who came to the National Zoo in 2000, are demanded to return to China after the cubs change 4. Xiao Qi Ji is the youngest of Mei Xiang’s four cubs.
