SAN JOSE — A tech company’s promising efforts to generate state-of-the-art components that can be applied in batteries and other units has fueled a burst of hiring and growth in north San Jose’s Alviso district.

Lyten, a privately held corporation that was established in 2015, is hoping that its materials can unleash breakthroughs in products that can be applied in electric powered autos, the aerospace sector and army programs.

The organization has developed a lithium-sulfur battery that can use less costly resources as a substitute for batteries that use rather expensive resources these as metal oxide, cobalt, manganese, or nickel.

“Our lithium-sulfur batteries will provide a light-weight and significant-energy-density solution for electric powered car or truck batteries without having applying pricey nickel or cobalt methods and will be far more environmentally sustainable,” Dan Cook, Lyten’s main government office and co-founder, reported in feedback emailed to this news group.

Lyten’s most recent space growth led to the enterprise leasing a developing located at 110 Baytech Generate in San Jose that totals about 58,000 square ft.
