Dear Abby: He suggests I can’t go to my friend’s wedding

Dear Abby: He suggests I can’t go to my friend’s wedding [ad_1]

Pricey ABBY: I’ve been in a long-phrase marriage with my boyfriend, “Mack,” for about 25 decades. Eleven years ago we grew to become much more like roommates.

I requested him to go to couples counseling, but he adamantly refused. He reported, “If you do not like it, uncover somebody else.”

Extended tale quick, I commenced an affair with an acquaintance of ours.

Soon after a short time, the affair arrived to light and Mack agreed to couples counseling, which was quite practical. I minimize off all call with the other person and any social contacts he and his spouse had been concerned with. Mack and I gradually built new pals, and our connection is much better than at any time.

The dilemma is, we have been invited to a marriage ceremony of the son of some quite dear friends (who arrived to my son’s marriage ceremony past thirty day period),  but the other gentleman and his wife will also be attending. Mack refuses to go to the marriage ceremony or allow for me to go.

What do you consider?
