Disney Planet closes topic parks in preparation for Hurricane Ian

Walt Disney Earth is shutting down all 4 of its theme parks in Florida on Wednesday and Thursday in preparation for the landfall of Hurricane Ian, the firm declared Tuesday.

The Disney Springs vacation resort will also be shut on Wednesday, whilst it’s not yet decided regardless of whether it will be reopened by Thursday. The closures arrive immediately after it was now announced Disney would shut its Hurricane Lagoon water park, as well as a handful of other resort accommodations.

Vacation resort closures incorporate Disney’s Fort Wilderness Vacation resort & Campground, Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Vacation resort & Spa, and the Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Village Vacation resort. These will be closed from Wednesday to Friday.

Universal Orlando and SeaWorld, which are found close by, have also been closed.

Disney World’s closure is the initial time the topic park has been shut thanks to significant weather conditions problems considering that Hurricane Dorian in September 2019.
