CHICO — A 16-year-previous boy has been arrested for allegedly shooting 5 people today early Saturday early morning at a party on the 1500 block of West Fifth Road, the Chico Law enforcement Section announced early Saturday evening.

According to police, detectives and patrol officers considered video captured at the time of the incident and a number of officers  identified the suspect as a 16-yr-aged juvenile from prior contacts.

Detectives then began looking for the teen and even though that was transpiring, individuals acquainted with the suspect ended up convincing him to surrender at at the Chico Law enforcement Department. Police say that transpired at 4:31 p.m. and he was taken into custody without the need of incident.

“This was an instance of a senseless crime that resulted in the really serious injury of innocent partygoers,” Sgt. Nick Bauer stated in a press release.

Law enforcement also say that thanks to the age of the suspect, no further facts can be unveiled about his id. Police also haven’t claimed how the teen acquired the gun.

The juvenile was transported to Butte County Juvenile Corridor.

Detectives claimed previously that a few of the five shooting victims have been taken care of and unveiled from an spot medical center, though two some others are continuing to bear remedy.
