Observe: Scooby-Doo's Velma now a lesbian

Jinkies, Velma from Scooby-Doo is formally a lesbian.

A clip from a new motion picture titled Trick or Take care of Scooby-Doo! appears to show Velma fawning around a costume designer named Coco Diablo.

Social media has blown up in the wake of the clip's launch.

For years, followers have speculated that the member of Secret Inc. has been a member of the LGBT local community, in accordance to a report.

"OMG LESBIAN VELMA At last CANON CANON IN THE Flicks Lets GOOOOOO," 1 Twitter user posted.

"I hardly ever assumed I would are living to see the working day when Velma is very clearly having gay feelings on-screen," a different consumer tweeted.

This is not the initial time Hollywood has tried out to make Velma check out her sexuality.

Each James Gunn and Tony Cervone have admitted they feel the character is a lesbian but were unable to show that on screen.

"I've mentioned this right before, but Velma in 'Mystery Incorporated' is not bi. She's homosexual. We constantly prepared on Velma acting a minimal off and out of character when she was dating Shaggy mainly because that marriage was incorrect for her and she had unspoken difficulty with the why," Cervone posted to Instagram.

"There are hints about the why in that episode with the mermaid, and if you comply with the complete Marcie arc it appears as very clear as we could make it 10 several years ago. I do not consider Marcie and Velma had time to act on their inner thoughts in the course of the key timeline, but post reset, they are a pair. You can not like it, but this was our intention."

Trick or Deal with Scooby-Doo! released digitally Tuesday.
