Cyclist dies after collision with school bus in downtown San Jose

A school bus struck and killed a cyclist two blocks south of the San Jose State University campus on Friday morning, according to San Jose Police Department.
The bus was carrying students at the time of the collision but it’s unknown if any injuries were sustained onboard, authorities say.
Police received reports of the collision at the intersection of Reed and 10th streets at 6:51 a.m. The cyclist was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police asked civilians to avoid the area and take alternative routes.Units are at the scene of a traffic collision involving a school bus with students on board and a bicyclist. S 10th/Reed St.
The bicyclist has been pronounced deceased at the scene. Unknown if any injuries on the bus.
