Housing designs should
be controlled locally

It is understandable why 14 of the 15 Bay Region towns have not had their “so-identified as housing elements” authorized by the California Office of Housing and Community Development (“Bay Area towns might not strike point out deadline,” Site A1, October 9).

This agency, designed up of unelected bureaucrats are masters of neighborhood handle. While loss of nearby handle has been years in the making, Bay Area communities are waking up to absurd housing mandates and the inability to management their possess destiny.

The hottest Bay Area housing ingredient (mandate) is supposed to approve 441,000 new residences – far more than double the amount for the present cycle. Where are the economic and fiscal research to justify these unreasonable boosts? What about secure electrical, drinking water and sewage requires? Do we know?

Community handle belongs with community communities and regionally elected officials. It must be preset.

Kathy Kimberlin is the councilmember Fremont District 3 needs. Constituents have earned open, trustworthy, compassionate representation focusing on variety, equity and inclusion.

A 40-yr Fremont resident, Kimberlin has spearheaded quite a few local community, fundraising and citywide gatherings, which include the Fourth of July parade, resettlement courses, and products and services for seniors and our unhoused neighbors.

The District 3 incumbent disappointingly fails to show up at or assist fundraising and local community-developing activities wherever all other Council customers — and Kimberlin — routinely take part.

As co-founder of the Tri-City Nonprofit Coalition, Kimberlin has led the way in supporting area nonprofits strengthen their endeavours and execute their respective missions by collaboration. Her vocation experience incorporates roles as a nonprofit government director, on the Fremont Unified Faculty District HR team, and as county Supervisor David Haubert’s Fremont Industry Director, wherever she helps nonprofits in acquiring and securing the support and means they want.

A vote for Kathy Kimberlin strengthens authentic engagement during our group.
