Petaluma Police say a reckless driver strike a pedestrian, then smashed into a vehicle, a pole, and a tree, prior to punching a witness and kicking a law enforcement officer Saturday night.

The driver of the vehicle the man strike attempted fleeing the scene and strike two other vehicles.

Law enforcement and hearth units responded at 11:09 p.m. to the spot of Kentucky and Washington streets for a targeted visitors collision.

When they sorted the mess out, police established 22-yr-previous Evan Weise was driving a grey BMW northbound, approaching the crosswalk in the 100 block of Kentucky Road.

Weise accelerated at a significant amount of speed, colliding with a pedestrian who was hoping to cross the street in the crosswalk.

Weise ongoing northbound on Kentucky, collided with a auto at the intersection of Washington, veered off the roadway colliding with a pole and a tree. The auto Weise hit fled the scene triggering a collision with two other uninvolved automobiles on Washington.

Law enforcement say witnesses attempted to render help to Weise, who returned the goodwill by punching 1 of them.

Officers then experimented with getting Weiss into custody and most likely weren’t far too amazed he was uncooperative. He allegedly kicked an officer and was arrested and put into a restraint product.
