It's almost 25 years since the then completely unknown Jason Statham shot the British gangster comedy " Knave, Queen, King, grAS " together with director Guy Ritchie . It was the beginning of two incomparable careers in the film business: while Statham is now one of the most popular action stars of all time, Guy Ritchie has become one of the most versatile directors in the blockbuster field: from stylish action comedies like "The Gentlemen" to famous adaptations like " Sherlock Holmes " to Disney live-action films like " Aladdin". But in the end, Ritchie is best known for combining cool and varied characters with his distinctive, stylish and fast-paced imagery - and has thus already created some cult films over the course of his career.
Although Guy Ritchie and Jason Statham have remained good friends since shooting "Jack, Queen, King, graS" and have made several other films together, it has now been almost 16 years since " Revolver " (2005) until we have met Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie in the all new revenge thriller Cash Truck“ again as a congenial actor/director duo. And the fact that the explosive reunion must of course culminate in a top-class action hit is almost obvious: Because Statham plays the taciturn H and takes on a job as a security guard at a money transport company. When his first mission is ambushed, he surprises his colleagues by single-handedly eliminating the attackers with extreme brutality.
