Likewise, the woman from Antioquia has overcome the adversities that injuries have brought her.

In the fourth valid of the BMX European Cup that took place in Zolder, Belgium, Mariana Pajón bathed in gold by winning the women's elite category. It should be noted that the Queen of BMX had been in second place the previous day; however, she had her revenge and took first place in the last test.

The 31-year-old cyclist overtook the Swiss Zoé Classens who stayed in second place, while the podium was completed by the French rider Axelle Etienne . In the fourth valid Mariana Pajón obtained a time of 33.412 seconds, which was enough for her to achieve the gold medal in the European competition.

It should be remembered that the Colombian cyclist was absent in the first two valid ones that were held in March of this year in Verona, Italy, due to an injury to one of her thumbs. With her good presentation in Belgium, Mariana Pajón, she has a chance to participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games , and fight for her fourth medal in the jousting.

By not participating in the first two days of the BMX European Cup on Italian soil, the paisa occupies the fifth position overall; however, she will be able to continue climbing positions in the next edition that will take place between May 5 and 7 in Valmiera, Latvia.
